We are happy to share registration information for our Centennial Celebration during Bayou Classic in New Orleans, Louisiana on Friday, November 25, 2022, thru Sunday, November 27, 2022.

Our sisterhood will paint The Big Easy blue and gold, with several events throughout the weekend to celebrate 100 years of service, sisterhood, and scholarship!  Activities are listed below:

Friday, November 25, 2022

• 6 PM – 9 PM Bayou Classic Battle of the Bands & Step Show, Ceasers Superdome (tickets sold separately)
• 7 PM – 11 PM Southwestern Region Mixer, Jackson Square
• Come mix it up with Pretty Poodles while you dine on cajun cuisine and sip a beverage, dance to the beats of the entertainment, and starting at 10 PM there will be multiple special events including a fireworks display and 2nd lining!

Saturday, November 26, 2022

• 10 AM – 1 PM D9 Sororities Fashion Show sponsored by Kasper & Macy’s, New Orleans Sheraton
• Kasper & Macy’s is partnering with the Southwestern Region to host a fashion show that will include the new winter line items! Join us for fashion, beignets, and fun!
• Noon - 1 PM Bayou Classic Football Pre-game activities; Sigma Gamma Rho presentation of scholarships to both HBCUs, Ceasers Superdome
• Southwestern Region of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. is a Bayou Classic Sponsor!  During the pre-game activities, representatives will be on the field presenting scholarships to both Grambling State University and Southern University!
• 1 PM – Bayou Classic Football Game televised on NBC from the Ceasears Superdome
• This nationally televised game is sure to be a treat!  As a sponsor of the Bayou Classic, the Southwestern Region will have reserved seating in the 2nd level end zone. Discounted tickets will be available.
• 9 PM – 1 AM Southwestern Region Centennial Weekend Signature Event – Sneakers Ball, New Orleans Sheraton
• The signature event for the Southwestern Region Centennial Celebration is the Sneakers Ball!  Put on your all-black and your best sneakers and step into the party of the year!  There will be live entertainment, a DJ, cajun food, drinks, and so much more.  You do not want to miss this party!

New Orleans Brunch Crawl

The Southwestern Region will provide a list of poodle-friendly brunch sites that will offer specials for our guests at their restaurants.  You can visit one or several of the brunch crawl venues and enjoy incredible food, exceptional drinks, and a good time!

The host hotel is the Sheraton New Orleans, 500 Canal Street, New Orleans, Louisiana.  The nightly room rate starts at $195 for single, double, triple, or quad.  One night deposit is required to secure a reservation.
